Larry Dennis Stroope
June 9, 1952 - January 7, 2022
Larry Dennis Stroope, of Caddo Mills, passed away Jan. 7, 2022 in Houston, Texas.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Larry was born June 9, 1952 in Greenville, Texas to James Stroope and Marjorie Hightower.
He was an owner and racehorse trainer and a true horseman. He was a part of the family beekeeping business for decades, and generally known as bigger than life. He was a member of the A&M Alumni, Jockey Club, and Our Gang Rugby Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Bollinger and son-in-law, Jeremy; brothers, Jim and Ralph Stroope; and nephews, Rhea and Jeremy Stroope.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
