Memorials: Frank had a soft spot in his heart for children in need. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to his favorite charity, Scottish Rite Hospital for Children www.tsrhc.org, or a charity of your choice.

Frank was born Feb. 8, 1930, in St. Jo, Texas to Frank Pink Sherrill, Sr., and Jeffie Newton Thrash Sherrill. Frank grew up as an only child and lived the quintessential small-town childhood in St. Jo, Texas. He moved to Waxahachie, Texas with his family just before starting high school.

He attended Texas A&M and was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He graduated in the Class of 1951 with a degree in Marketing. There was never a more dedicated Texas Aggie!

While taking summer school classes at North Texas University in 1949, he met and fell in love with Marion Lee Norton of Bryan, Texas. In June of 1952, they were married, and Frank began his commitment to the U.S. Army. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1954.

Frank moved his family from Dallas to Waco and then to Amarillo before settling in Fort Worth in 1961. He worked as a printing salesman for Evans Press and for Motheral Printing. Frank was a long-time member of the Century Club at Texas A&M University. He was very involved in several organizations in Fort Worth, serving as President of both the Texas A&M Club and the Advertising Club of Fort Worth, as well as being a faithful member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Fort Worth. He was well-respected as a printing salesman who worked hard to make sure each job was perfect. He and Marion, with their daughter, Becky, started Type Case in 1974. Frank's job was to "shoot the bear and bring it to the door." He excelled at this job and was still working almost every day until Type Case closed in 2005.

Frank was blessed to be married to Marion for 53 years. When Marion died in September 2005, he continued to attend First Methodist Church in Fort Worth where they had been worshiping. One Sunday in October, Frank attended a welcome event for seniors where he met Patricia Lindsey. Frank was "smitten" that day and by Christmas he revealed to his children that he had found love again. Frank and Trish were married July 1, 2006. They spent the next 16 years devoted to each other's happiness.

Frank's family is proud of the way he lived a modest lifestyle, well below his means. He did not busy himself with the vanities of the world. He wasn't showy, proud, or materialistic. His family always knew they were deeply loved and that he would do anything he could for them. He was always their proudest supporter in whatever they did.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marion Lee Norton Sherrill; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Sherrill.

Frank is survived by his wife of 16 years, Patricia Lindsey Sherrill; and his three children, Becky Couch (Kent), Mark Sherrill (Grace) and Stewart Sherrill (Nancy). Frank was blessed with seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Sixteen years ago, when Frank married Patricia Lindsey Sherrill, he gained a beautiful new family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he loved them very much. Trish's children: Lisa Carpenter (Jim); Mark Lindsey (Melissa); six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
