Gerald William "Bill" Kirsch
June 8, 1940 – January 25, 2023

G. W. (Bill) Kirsch of Tomball, Texas was called home to heaven on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the age of 82. He was born on June 8, 1940 in Houston, Texas where he grew up with his younger brother Mike. Bill graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1958.

He was a Fightin’ Texas Aggie, Class of 1962 and served in the US Army Reserve, attaining the rank of Captain.

Bill was a born entrepreneur, succeeding first as a commercial Real Estate broker, then becoming an accomplished pilot, earning an ATP rating, flying charters and for corporations all across Texas, Mexico and the broader US. He loved flying! He was an avid hunter, golfer and traveler. He enjoyed many things, including those cigars, but nothing gave him more joy than the time he got to spend with family and friends, particularly his beautiful granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Cathie Woodruff Kirsch, his son, James Forrest (Jim) Kirsch, his parents, Billy and Geri Kirsch, and his brother, G. Michael (Mike) Kirsch. We can only imagine the reunion and celebration in heaven!

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Kay (Debbie) Kirsch (partner, Jim Jugon), his daughter-in-love, Sheryl Terpstra Kirsch, his beloved granddaughters, Lauren Reine (husband, Parker) and Jamie Kirsch; his “step” granddaughter, Lauren Jugon, his sister, Lyndal (Lyndie) Pokorny (husband, Dave), his brother-in-love, Wayne Woodruff and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

The family would like to thank Right at Home (Caregivers), particularly, Mariah, and Vitas Hospice for the care and compassion they showed him in this final chapter in his life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life / Family visitation at Butler House, 23931 Gosling, Spring, Texas 77389 on Saturday, February 18th at 1 pm. Please dress comfortably – as he preferred!

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Bill’s honor to The Texas A&M Foundation, Operation Pets Alive or The Rose.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.neptunesociety.com/location/houston-cremation for the Kirsch family.
