Roll Call Tribute

William "Will" Sakson '90 February 28, 2023 2:24 PM updated: February 28, 2023 2:30 PM

William George Sakson
March 1, 1968 — January 30, 2023

Will was born in Houston just six hours after potentially being a leap year baby. After graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1986, he attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was employed by various software companies throughout the years, making friends out of coworkers along the way with his accessible and approachable demeanor. Most recently, he was a valuable part of the HCSS Professional Services team as a Senior Project Manager.

Will loved gadgets and technology, travelling, watching shows about BBQ, his brand new Jeep, and of course, his beard. He had a quick wit, a great smile, an exceptional sense of humor and the ability to remember all kinds of (sometimes useless!) information.

Undoubtedly, the most important people in his life were his cherished wife, Sherri, and precious daughter, Zoe. All of his friends would agree that marrying Sherri in 2000 was a predestined match; they were the perfect pair and were so happy and so in love. In addition to their many trips together, the highlight of their marriage was adding adorable Zoe Alexa to their family in 2005. A move from Houston to College Station in 2015 was absolute heaven and something he wished had happened sooner. He was up for doing or watching anything Aggie related.

Will is predeceased by his father, William Alex Sakson.

In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Sakson; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Karen; his nephew, Conner; and nieces, Kamryn and Peyton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on line to Zoe’s college account.

A celebration of life including all things tiki and Tommy Bahama will be announced to friends at a later date.
