Claude Thomas "Tom" Aylesworth, Jr.
November 6, 1936 - February 12, 2023

Claude Thomas "Tom" Aylesworth, Jr. passed away on February 12th, 2023 at the age of 86.

Tom was born on November 6, 1936 in Plainview, Texas to Claude Thomas Aylesworth, Sr. and Clara Lee Brim Aylesworth.

Raised in Midland, Tom graduated from Midland High School in 1955. After graduating from Texas A&M in 1961 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, he began a 60-year career in the oil and gas industry. In 1983, Tom became president of Remuda Operating Company and remained there until 2023. Always the ardent sports fan, Tom avidly enjoyed cheering on the Texas Aggies and Houston Astros year-round.

He is survived by his daughter Jolee Aylesworth and husband Tim Smith, his son John and wife Tammy Aylesworth, his daughter Jamie and husband Louie West and by Tom's stepson Kevin Stone. His grandchildren include James and his wife Brianna Aylesworth, Lance West, Tommy West, Jason and his wife Carleigh Aylesworth, and step grandson Holden Stone. Tom was expecting the birth of his first great grandchild to James and Brianna Aylesworth later this month. A special thank you to Dorothy McCauley and to our angels, Sissy and Brandi.

There will be a Celebration of Life on a date to be determined.

To honor Tom's memory, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are entrusted to American Heritage Cemetery Funeral Home Crematory.
