William Christopher Jackson

July 6, 1967 - August 12, 2022

Chris Jackson passed away at his home with his wife by his side Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 55 after a battle with brain cancer.

Chris was born William Christopher Jackson on July 6, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to Blanche and William Bill Jackson.

He attended Duncanville High School where upon graduation he went on to attend Texas A&M University in College Station, attaining a degree in construction science in 1993.

Chris had a successful, long and fulfilling career with Hill & Wilkinson where he not only worked but gained many cherished friends. In 1997, he met the love of his life, Cheryl Elizabeth Clair. They were married on February 6, 1999. Together they raised two wonderful children: Clair Elisabeth Jackson (21) and William Harrison Harry Jackson (16).

Chris loved fishing, outdoor sports, a good estate sale and spending time with family. He was blessed with so many talents and gifts, one of his most notable being his kindness to others and sense of humor. He was a truly genuine and loving person who opened his heart to all he encountered over the years. Even when his health was difficult for him in the end, Chris was always so demonstrative of his thankfulness for family and friends. He never complained and was always more concerned with how his children and wife were coping. We feel at peace knowing that he can rest now with the Lord.

Chris' beautiful life will be forever cherished by the lives that knew him.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Bill Jackson and his younger brother, Lee Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Jackson; his two children, Clair Jackson and Harry Jackson; his older sister, Layne Jackson; his sister-in-law, Colleen Keene and her husband, John Keene, Cathleen Rooney; dear family friend Sean Rooney; and nephews, Kyle Keene, Keegan Keene, and Ryan Rooney.

Life is short, and we do not have much time to gladden the hearts of those who travel with us. So be quick to love and make haste to be kind.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Allen Family Funeral Options for an Evening of Remembrance.

A funeral mass will be held for Chris Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Cathedral Guadalupe, 2215 Ross Ave., Dallas, Texas 75201.

If desired, memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Bishop Lynch, https://www.bishoplynch.org/support-bl/your-gifts-at-work#  or to GBM treatment research, https://glioblastomafoundation.org/get-involved/donate?
