Troby Lane Hoffacker Parrish

March 23, 1956 - February 5, 2023

Troby Lane Hoffacker Parrish, beloved sister, philanthropist and accomplished saleswoman, died Sunday at home, surrounded by family. She was 66 years old.

Troby was born March 23, 1956 in Midland, Texas. As a young girl, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Worthy Matron of Rainbow Girls. She attended Midland Lee High School ('74), and for college, attended Texas A&M College Station ('78) an institution Troby loved and supported in her role as Class Officer during her undergrad and later continuously as an alumni Class Agent. She graduated with a bachelor's in Education and began her career working as an elementary school teacher in Houston, Texas.

Troby then transitioned her career to sales, working at KLUV radio, Timex, and Seiko. She spent the last fifteen years working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Troby had especially fond memories of her summer retreats to Bloys Ranch outside of Fort Davis, and she later returned as a youth minister during the '80s and '90s. She also co-founded the Dallas Trolley for Toys organization, which benefitted the Dallas Rainbow Room.

Troby could light up any room she walked into and had an indescribable flair and sense of fashion. She had a loyal spirit and gave 100 percent in everything she did. Troby will be remembered as an expert gift wrapper, proud mother of two Shih Tzus, Rosie and Rubie, and a loving sister and aunt to her siblings and nieces and nephews, who dearly loved her back, and will miss her always.

Troby is preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Kornegay Hoffacker; father, Benjamin Hoffacker Jr.; birth father, Bill Reue; sisters, Shawn Hoffacker Massey and Sandra Hoffacker; and brother, Charlie Hoffacker.

She is survived by her brothers Matthew (Beth) Hoffacker, Benny (Theresa) Hoffacker; sisters Mimi Key, Mary Benton, Lynn Berdofe; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration will be held in Midland, Texas, at a future date. In lieu of flowers, you can passionately honor Troby's life with a donation of your choice.
