Durward Lamar Brown
June 18, 1937 - June 7, 2020

Lamar Brown of Sargent, Texas passed away peacefully June 7, 2020. He was born June 18, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to Lamar and Dorothy Brown.

After graduating high school in Dallas, he worked in various trades and served as a reserve officer on the Dallas Police Department. He moved to Half Moon Bay, California in 1976. There he worked in various trades and served as a Sergeant reserve officer on the Half Moon Bay Police Department. In 1999 Lamar moved to Sargent, Texas. There he owned Lamar’s Nothing Fancy store, and served on several community boards and volunteer organizations.

He is survived by his son Brian Brown and wife Dora, daughter Tambra Guzman and husband Daniel, and son Lance Brown; granddaughters Grace and Chloe Brown; many friends and acquaintances.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank all Lamar’s friends who helped him in the last couple of years while his health was declining. It is appreciated more than you know.
