May 3, 1960 - January 7, 2023

A Celebration of the Life of Bobby Glenn Alexander, Jr., 62, of Mt. Pleasant will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant with Doctor Clint Davis officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Services are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.

Bobby was born May 3, 1960, in Fairfield, Texas to Bobby and June Alexander. He passed away on January 7, 2023, in a Tyler hospital surrounded by his family and friends.

He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the Class of 1978. He attended Texas A & M University where he was in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band Corps of Cadets. He graduated in 1982 from A & M with his bachelor’s degree. His work career started during his high school years at Haney’s Shoe Store and then after college he went to work for Texas Utilities Generating Company, The Boy Scouts of America and finished his career with Child Protective Services with the Texas Department of Human Services. Bob loved his family, watching The Texas Aggie Band, his Aggie family, camping, traveling, and cruising. He was a good son, dad, brother, grandfather (Papa Bob) and friend to all.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Bobby G. Alexander, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, June Alexander of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Nicholas Alexander of Leesburg and girlfriend, Hanna Scirto, Seth Alexander and wife Elizabeth of Mt. Pleasant, Dillon Alexander of Leesburg; grandchildren, Presley and Harper Alexander of Mt. Pleasant; older twin sister, Jill Tucker and friend Mike Jordan of Daingerfield; best friend, Benjamin Serrano of Avinger; his children’s mother, Regina Alexander of Mt. Pleasant and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
