November 30, 1966 ~ December 24, 2022

Clifford Dane Jones, 56, of Wallisville, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at his parent’s residence. He was born on November 30, 1966, in Baytown, Texas, to Carren Anne Trant Sparks and the late Clifford Gordon Jones.

Dane graduated from Anahuac High School, with the class of 1985. Afterwards, he went on to attend Texas A&M University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. He was very dedicated to his faith in the Lord and enjoyed attending various churches, with one of the last being Second Baptist of Baytown. He had a passion for doing mission work in Haiti.

Dane pursued many interests, some of which included fishing, hunting, and being outdoors with friends. He was a true country boy at heart, living by the motto of working hard and playing hard. Dane loved the simple things in life, was carefree and enjoyed living it to the fullest. He had a very giving heart, and would not hesitate to help someone in need. Dane will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Dane was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandparents Carlton and Faye Trant; and his paternal grandparents Clifford and Ruby Jones.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his mother Carren Sparks and husband Richard of Wallisville; his son Ty Jones of Baytown; his bonus son, Cody Robison of Beach City; his sisters Leslie Sparks Rhame and husband Kenny of Cypress, and Jena Jones Bridgefarmer and husband Matthew of La Grange; his nephews Hunter and Jacob Bridgefarmer of La Grange, Adam Rhame of Cypress; his niece Kaylee Rhame of Anahuac; his numerous aunts and uncles; his cousins; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of Dane’s life will be held at 11am, on Friday, December 30, 2022, with Trey Clark officiating, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main Street, Anahuac, Texas 77514.
