David Gonzalo Hinojos Franco

February 25, 1978 - October 30, 2022

David Gonzalo Hinojos Franco, 44, of Edinburg, Texas, entered eternal rest on October 30, 2022.

He was born on February 25, 1978, to Natividad H. Franco and Jesus S. Franco in Grand Junction, Colorado. After graduating from the Preparatoria Tec Eugenio Garza La Guera in Monterrey, Mexico, he began his undergraduate studies at Clemson University, South Carolina. He later transferred to Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. While always a proud Texas Aggie, he later attended graduate school, completing a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. As an eager entrepreneur, he began his career in sales and later established a successful supply and business consulting company.

David is survived by his loving fiancée, Veronica Lupercio of Edinburg, Texas; two children; David Leonardo Franco and Hector Alexander Franco, and his soon-to-be stepdaughter Fatima A. Morfin; his mother, Natividad H Franco; his brothers, Javier Hinojos Franco, Jesse Hinojos Franco, and Ricardo Hinojos Franco. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus S. Franco (who needed him in heaven sooner rather than later, we suspect)

David grew up in many areas around the United States and Mexico but spent most of his childhood in Monterrey and Texas. Those who knew David will always remember him for his big heart and generous nature. He had a genuine and palpable zest for life, an oozing charm, and could quickly sell you your jacket. He loved without bounds, especially his two sons, David Leonardo and Hector Alexander, who are his pride and joy. He met his best friend Veronica Lupercio in 2012, with whom he was engaged and planned to marry in February 2023.

The essential things in his life were his faith in God and his love for his family and friends. He loved to see people smile and be happy.

Hobbies included living life, travel, music (especially playing guitar), enjoying Aggie football, fishing, travel, motorcycles (especially riding with his biker family), and most importantly, spending quality time with family and friends.

25 Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?" 27 "Yes, Lord," she told him. "I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God."
