John Edward O'Riley

June 4, 1965 - October 6, 2022

John Edward O’Riley beloved son, brother, uncle and great uncle passed away on October 6, 2022 at the age of 57.

John was born on June 4, 1965 and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. He graduated Salutatorian from Roy Miller High School in 1983. He was a proud Aggie who attended Texas A&M University College Station in Bryan, TX. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.

He relocated and has lived in Houston, TX. for the past 22 years. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed cooking, music, movies and spending time with his family and friends. He was loving, kind, caring and generous with a heart of gold.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paulo G. O’Riley, grandmothers Maria Garcia and Virginia Benavidez, uncles Pedro Garcia, Samuel Garcia, Ruben Gutierrez, aunts, Alicia Lopez and Helen Gutierrez. He is survived by his loving mother, Dolores G. O’Riley, sisters Paula Trevino (Joe Garcia), Priscilla (Luis) Romero, Patricia O’Riley, nephews Paul R. O’Riley, Jake (Jessica) Trevino, niece, Lucy (Eric) Valdez, great nephews Paul David and Brandon Lee O’Riley, great nieces Lillian O’Riley, June Trevino, Ella and Alayna Valdez, uncle Frank (Elva) Cavazos, aunt Anita Montez, dear friend Roel (Priscilla) Munoz, Joey (Minnie) Cantu, Lucas (Celia) Coronado, Roger (Angie) Chavez, Samuel R. Canales, work family at W.R. Grace & Co., cherished relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 21, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
