Thomas Leslie (Tommy) Stallings was born May 9, 1949 in Paducah, Texas to Horace Leslie and Louise Russell Stallings. He died December 27, 2022 in Amarillo at age 73. He attended schools in Amarillo, Fort Worth, and graduated from Midland Lee High School in 1967, where he was an Honor Student, played football, and participated in Junior Achievement.

In 1966, he attended a National Science Foundation summer program at Texas A & M which encouraged him to explore a career in Chemical Engineering. As a National Merit Scholar, he attended Texas A & M where he earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1971 and worked in Amarillo until his retirement from PanTex Department of Energy in Amarillo.

Tom was an avid and eclectic reader and for a number of years kept a horse for pleasure riding. He enjoyed travel and for many years often spent vacation time in Florida and New Mexico. He was a devout Christian. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later time.

He is survived by a sister, Barbara S. McKnight of Stephenville, a brother Robert David Stallings of Santa Anna, and sister-in-law- Kerry S. Butler of Fort Worth, two nieces and three nephews, a Great Aunt and Uncle Robert E. and Betty R. Thompson of College Station.
