Labron F. Ezell, Jr. 

September 15, 1921 - June 28, 2008

Labron F. Ezell, age 86, passed away Saturday, the 28th of June 2008. A native Houstonian, he was born the 15th of September 1921.

Mr. Ezell served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Houston where he was very active in the Sunday School and church administration for over 60 years. Mr. Ezell retired following 30 years of employment as a Director of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Following his retirement, which he enjoyed immensely, he traveled extensively and spent over 20 years volunteering at The Methodist Hospital and the Emergency Aid Coalition.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Sarah Ezell; sons Gary and wife Norma Carroll, Craig and wife Sally, Larry and wife Elizabeth; granddaughters, Rebecca, Emily, Sarah and Rachel; great grandson Duncan; sister Virginia Ezell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 1st of July at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Following a private graveside service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, a memorial service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday the 2nd of July at First United Methodist Church, 1320 Main in Houston.
