Robert (Bob) Jaeckle
October 18, 1942 - December 6, 2022

Robert John (Bob) Jaeckle passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022 in Dallas. Bob was born October 18, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Robert Henry and Dorothy Gertrude (Sneedse) Jaeckle, both of whom preceded him in death.

After spending his younger years in Chicago, Bob and his family moved to California. Upon graduating high school, he enrolled in Texas A&M University and was a member of the Class of ’64. His commitment to A&M was a huge part of Bob’s life and he loved everything having to do with his beloved Aggies and staunch support, including financial, will forever be a part of his legacy to both his family and A&M.

After college, Bob became a businessman and entrepreneur where his many interests led to countless opportunities and professional contacts, many of whom became dear friends. He owned a catering house, became involved in banking and owned and operated Reunion Ranch with his brother, Alan.

Along with his love of A&M and his business ventures, Bob’s faith in his Lord, Jesus, was always ever present and became even stronger later in his life as he realized how very blessed he had been. Bob’s heart is best summed up by the incomparable words of our Savior, in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believed in Him should not perish but have eternal life”.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Kim Jaeckle of Richardson; brother, Alan Jaeckle and wife, Beverly; nephews: Michael Jaeckle and Jeffrey Jaeckle and their families as well as other extended family, A&M alumni, colleagues and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, Bob’s family asks that donations be made in his honor to the Association of Former Students for Aggie Ring Scholarships at www.tx.ag/BobJaeckle or write directly to them at 505 George Bush Dr., College Station, TX 77840.

At this time, a Celebration of Bob’s life is being planned for Sunday, January 15, 2023 at The Bluebonnet at Reunion Ranch, 10581 CR 312, Terrell, TX, 75161 beginning at 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
