Theodore “Ted” Michael Smith

Theodore “Ted” Michael Smith, 75, of Lipan, Texas, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away early on Sunday morning, December 4, 2022, in Granbury, Texas.

All services will be private and are to be held at a later date.

Ted was born on June 4, 1947, in Freeport, Texas. He was one of two sons born to William and Helen Smith. Ted married Laura Dingle on March 6, 1976. They moved to Lipan, Texas in 2007.

He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1972, and worked as a Researcher at Dow Chemical Company for over 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his cattle. He enjoyed traveling with his daughter showing horses. Most of all, Ted will be remembered for the pride and joy that he had for his family.

To cherish his memory, Ted leaves behind, his wife, Laura; his daughters, Jill Piggott and Melissa Zwahr; sons-in-law Tony Piggott and Leif Wathne; grandchildren, Kelty Piggott and Lars and Finn Wathne; his brother, Bryan Smith; and nephews, Scott and Jason Smith.
