John Karl Penewitt, II
January 21, 1987 - April 22, 2022

John Karl Penewitt, II was born on January 21, 1987 in Houston, Texas to John, Sr. and Sandie Peterson Penewitt. He grew up in Katy and graduated from Katy High School in 2005.

He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University in 2009 and his Master’s Degree from the University of Houston in 2011. On June 6, 2015, he married Maggie Albrecht. John enjoyed spending time outside hunting and fishing. He treasured the time spent with his family, especially his two young children.

John Karl Penewitt, II passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, in Katy, at the age of 35.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie Penewitt; children, Kensington Penewitt and John Karl Penewitt, III; parents, John and Sandie Penewitt; and sisters, Tacie Franklin and Kelsie Schoener.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway, in Katy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Memorial Lutheran Church, in Katy, with Rev. John F. Davis, Jr. officiating. Interment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
