William Dan Baker, Jr.
January 16, 1969 ~ August 19, 2022

William Baker, beloved husband and father of 3, unexpectedly passed away from natural causes on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the age of 53.

William was born January 16, 1969 on the USAG Yongsan Army base in Seoul, Korea to William Dan Baker, Sr. and Susan Woolard. His family eventually moved to Florida when he was 3 years old and finally resided in Texas with his mother and stepfather. William established himself in Belton, TX, marrying his high school sweet-heart, Lisa Dominguez Baker in November of 1987.

Shortly after, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. William co-founded a petroleum containment technology company, Genesis, in 1992 before finding his niche at Motorola in Seguin, TX. He stayed with the company during the transition into Continental Automotive Systems and now Vitesco Technologies. With his dedication and loyalty he stayed with this group of colleagues for 25 years.

William found joy and pleasure traveling with Lisa, his wife of 34 years. Together they had the opportunity to explore many continents before starting their family. They settled in Selma, TX where they started their beautiful family of MiNa Isabella, William Seth, and Lucita Olivia. William was a devoted, loving, and caring father. His children were his pride and joy. In February 2022, William was delighted to meet his granddaughter, Ophelia Angelina Rose Baker, along with her parents William Seth Baker and Madison Macias.

William is preceded by his mother, Susan Woolard, father, William Dan Baker, Sr., and his step father, John Woolard Jr.  William is a brother to surviving family members Linda Foster of Salado, TX, Bonnie Baker of Bryan, TX, Connie Rivas of College Station, TX, John Woolard III of Prosper, TX, and Chris Woolard of Austin, TX.

William was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, and Mentor and will be deeply missed. William rejoiced in his faith in the Lord and shared this with his family and friends. He enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, and his love for technology. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, always making sure they had a good time laughing and sharing delicious meals together. His memory will always be cherished. With his absence, there is a huge void in our hearts, which can only be filled by the light that he brought into our lives before leaving too soon.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:30 AM, with a Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
