Roy Keith Christian

April 2, 1947 - November 7, 2022

Roy Keith Christian was born on April 2, 1947 in Houston, TX to C.W. and Genevieve (Keith) Christian. Growing up in Richmond, Roy made fond memories and created lifelong friendships with many people. Roy married Carol Ann (Stern) on June 10, 1972. Together they built a marriage full of love, lots of laughs, and a few gray hairs for over 50 years. Upon graduation from his beloved Texas A&M University, Roy began his career in the foundry industry where he spent over 36 years working in various cities such as Richmond, Houston, San Antonio, and Tyler.

Roy enjoyed playing all sports as well as hunting and fishing. Anyone that knew him, always heard some good fishing stories and bad jokes, and he never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Roy had a love for all animals, and they loved him too.

He was an avid fan of college football and especially enjoyed cheering on his Texas A&M Aggies. Roy’s voice could always be heard yelling “That’s a Fightin Texas Aggie FIRST DOWN”!

He was a faithful member of Calvary Episcopal Church where he enjoyed volunteering in numerous outreach ministries.

Roy went to be with his eternal Father on November 7, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann; sons Kyle (Mary Ann) and Cullen; three grandchildren Braden, Kinleigh and Case; sisters Claudia (Ray) Nunley and Linda (Don) Vinklarek; brother in law Ron (Cheryl) Stern; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents C.W. and Genevieve Christian.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Richmond on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 10:30AM.

For those desiring, memorial contributions can be made to the Texas A&M Association of Former Students Henry W. Stern Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of Roy Christian or to Calvary Episcopal Church.

He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has kept the faith.
