Robert Timothy Barnett
October 31, 1962 - July 25, 2022

Robert Timothy Barnett was born on October 31, 1962 to his loving parents and left his earthly body at his home in Tomball, Texas to join his Heavenly Father on July 25, 2022.

Tim lived a life of love and joy with many personal and professional accomplishments leaving a rich legacy behind him. Tim had a personal relationship with the Lord and followed the teaching and doctrine of the Berachah church.

Tim graduated from Tomball High School in 1981. He then graduated from Blinn Jr. College in 1983. In 1986 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from A&M University. Tim was a true Aggie and went to A&M again for graduate school, graduating in 1988 with a Master’s Degree in Education.

Tim married the love of his life on July 9, 1994. He was a devoted husband to his wife Jackie for 28 years. Tim and Jackie created a beautiful life with their marriage, children, and family at the center. Tim was a dedicated father to his 6 children.

Truly an educator at heart, Tim taught algebra with his Klein Bearkats for over 28 years. He made sure that his students excelled and he cared about their education by taking time to tutor and help any student, often using humor to educate them. Those who knew and loved Tim knew that he was the kind of person who could make anyone laugh with his wit and sarcasm. Tim loved travelling with the Tomball marching band and helping set up the pit for his kids. He also was an amazing coach of many different sports. He got his start in coaching when he was the coach for his sisters' softball teams. Many of his players, even many years later, stated that he was their favorite and best coach they ever had. The teams Tim coached went onto win multiple tournaments, including state and national titles. Tim took his love of coaching home with him and coached his own children at sports. His time with his children were memories he held very close to his heart. He was an avid Twitch follower spending many happy hours watching and participating in Twitch streams. Tim also played board games at an intensity unmatched by anyone else in the world. His family will miss the evenings with him drinking bourbon, smoking a pipe, and playing card games.

Tim is survived by his wife Jackie Gilliam Barnett, his children Robert, Jackson, Aggie, Dylan, Josh and Miranda and her husband Michael. He is also survived by 1 granddaughter, Mia. Tim leaves behind his mother and father, Robert and Gay Barnett, and his siblings Diana Maiwald, Brenda Johnson, and Laura Barnett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.
