Esca Marion Tebbs, Jr.
May 29, 1936 - February 17, 2021

Esca Marion Tebbs died on February 17, 2021, in Houston, Texas. Marion was born on May 29, 1936, at Kountze, Hardin County, Texas. He was 84 years of age, a native of Texas, and a lifelong resident of the State.

Marion graduated from Kountze high School in 1954, and he graduated from Texas A&M University in 1958, with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, a profession he successfully practiced for some 55 years. He served in the United States Army without reservation.

Marion had outstanding intellect, an insightful mind, and great determination. He was a profound engineer, a volunteer soldier, and a well-informed citizen. He was entirely unpretentious, genial, openhearted, and courteous. He was honest and straightforward in all respects.

An unwavering Christian, Marion lived his life according to Christian Tenets. He is survived by his son, Timothy L. Tebbs, who deserves special commendation for his unfailing devotion to his father, and one brother.

A graveside service for Mr. Tebbs will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
