William "Bill" Jett
November 20, 1944 - August 20, 2022

William “Bill” Jett, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.

Bill was born in Ennis, Texas, on November 20, 1944, to William Houston and Virginia A. (James) Jett. Bill grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1963. Bill went on to get a BBA from Texas A&M in 1967 and his MBA in business from University of Dallas graduating as a Sigma lota Epsilon Honor Graduate. He also had extended education courses at Penn State University in Executive Management, GE Corp Executive Skills Training, University of Virginia in Sales Management and Wharton Business School in Fundamentals of Mergers and Acquisitions.

On January 25, 1969, Bill married the love of his life Virginia Ann Inman; over their marriage they have resided in many cities including Belvidere, IL, Sleepy Hollow, IL, Starkville, MS, Irving, TX, Duncanville, TX and finally in Dallas, TX for the last forty-one years. Bill served his country proudly in the United States Army Reserve.

Bill worked for many different companies including: Sunstrand Corporation of Rockford, Illinois in sales, Kaiser Aluminum of Dallas, Texas in sales, Phelps Dodge Cable-Yonkers of New York in sales in Dallas. was their Regional Manager in Chicago, Illinois and Manager of Marketing in Yonkers, New York and Starkville, Mississippi and, Summers Electric of Dallas, Texas as Vice-President of the DFW Area and Senior Vice-President of the Central Region along with being Corporate President in Dallas, Rexel Corporation of Paris, France as Vice-President Corp, EX. Vice-President of the Eastern Region, was the owner and CEO of Mustang Electric from 1998-2012, was Veterans Electric Supply Managing Partner and Mayer Electric Consultant. Bill was a member and deacon of Park Cities Baptist Church, Outstanding Young Men of America in 1980 and his faith was a driving force in his life. Bill’s family was the joy of his life, and he enjoyed fishing, cars and traveling. Bill was always smiling and approached life as "every day is a miracle."

Bill leaves behind his loving family including his loving wife of over fifty-three years, Virginia Jett; son, Jim Jett and wife, Marianne; daughter, Christine Motl and husband, Christopher; four grandchildren: Davis, Emma, Ella and Lily; one sister, Rebecca Joy and husband, Nick along with a host of extended family and friends.

Private graveside services will be held in Myrtle Cemetery.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Park Cities Baptist Church of Dallas with Dr. Jeff Warren officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Park Cities Baptist Church (www.pcbc.org), to American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org), or to Parkinson's Disease Association (https://www.apdaparkinson.org) in memory of him.
