January 19, 1938 - September 26, 2021
Rodgers Matthew Hill, Jr. passed away peacefully Sunday morning, September 26, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 19, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to his parents Rodgers Matthew Hill Sr. and Vivian (Stafford) Hill.
Rodgers was a mechanical engineer graduate from Texas A&M in 1959. He then went on to serve in the United States Army and in 1964, Rodgers married his best friend, Penny. He loved to build cars and race them. He also traveled extensively for Triple S Dynamics. Rogers was a kind, loving, and amazingly smart man with a big sense of humor. There isn’t one thing he could not conquer throughout his lifetime and will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Penny (Todd) Hill and his parents, Rodgers Matthew Hill, Sr. and Vivian (Stafford) Hill.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Rodgers Hill; daughter, Margaret Elaine Pool; granddaughters, Kristin Pool and Cheyanne Pool; great grandchildren Jose, Madilyn, Angela, Avery, Elyanna, and Oliver; cat, Nelda.
The family would like to thank Hospice Plus, Oriana Vittrup, Rebecca Pinola, Susan Harding and Linda Lea for the care and compassion that was received.
