Vincent Donald Neuhaus
August 22, 1942 - July 16, 2022

Vincent Donald Neuhaus peacefully entered the presence of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July, 16, 2022. He was born on August 22, 1942 in Murphysboro, Illinois to Edgar and Ruth Neuhaus. Vincent was baptized in 1942 at Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, Illinois and confirmed his Christian Faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mercedes, Texas on March 25, 1956. After moving to Waco, Texas he faithfully attended and served at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead.

Wherever Vincent was, he loved and invested in those around him because he knew that he, an imperfect man, was first loved and redeemed by Jesus. Whether it was playing with his friends in grade school at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mercedes, Texas, or while he attended Texas A&M and Oklahoma State University, he built strong relationships informed by the Love of Christ. Whether it was when he was building Harvestores for dairymen around New Braunfels or walking with farmers in Central Texas, Vincent wanted to reflect Christ’s love to everyone. Whether it was serving on various community and church boards or investing and leading his most important gifts, his family, Vincent humbly served and loved out of Christ’s everlasting love. On June, 22, 1968, Vincent married the love of his life and partner in ministry, Suzanne Persson, and they were blessed with three children, Brent, Amy, and Ryan.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ruth Neuhaus, and his brothers-in-law, Leonard Weber (Jeanette) and Marshall Persson.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Neuhaus; his sisters, Jeanette Weber (Leonard) and Linda Dolton (David); brother, Earl Neuhaus (BJ); brother-in-law, Robert Persson (Janet); daughter, Amy Kaufmann (Martin); sons, Brent Neuhaus (Kim), and Ryan Neuhaus (Jill); six precious grandchildren, Andrew Kaufmann, Katie Kaufmann, Jane Neuhaus, Laura Kaufmann, Adele Neuhaus and Vincent Neuhaus; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he dearly loved.

A Celebration of Jesus’ Victory over sin and death will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1301 Hogan Lane, Waco, Texas 76705. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The service will be live-streamed on the St. Paul website. A private family graveside service will follow.

Pallbearers will be Tim Weber, Paul Neuhaus, Steven Persson, Derek Dolton, Andrew Kaufmann, Nathan Neuhaus, and Vincent W. Neuhaus. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Persson, Lance Neuhaus, Michael Persson, Kevin Neuhaus, Scott Persson, Jeffery Persson, and Daniel Dolton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to honor Vincent’s legacy of faith by giving to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Cultivating Life Capital Campaign at Camp Lone Star (2016 Camp Lone Star Rd, La Grange, TX 78945) where Jesus’ Story will continue to be shared for the generations to come.
