November 16, 1929 – June 5, 2022

Paul Howard Wells, 92, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The funeral service will be Saturday, June 11 at 2 pm in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, June 10, from 6-8 at the funeral home. The interment will be Monday, June 13 at 11 am at Crestview Memorial Park.

On November 16, 1929, Paul was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to William T. and Faye Wells. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1945 and attended and graduated from Texas A&M University with an Animal Husbandry Degree. He married the love of his life, Frances Barker, in 1950.

Paul proudly served his country as a Lt. Colonel in the US Army. He served in the Korean War and retired from the Army Reserves after more than 20 years of service.

In 1952, Paul and Frances moved to Lubbock, where they would raise their family. Paul worked for Farm Pac Packing Plant for 28 years before moving to Bonham, Texas. Before retiring, the couple moved back to Wichita Falls, where he worked for Waggoner Restaurant Supply.

After the loss of Frances, Paul met and married Bonnie in 1999. There was nothing more important to Dado (given name by his grandchildren) than his family. Paul attended First Baptist Church in Lubbock, Wichita Falls, and Thornberry Baptist Church.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, William T. and Faye Wells, and his wife, Frances Wells.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Wells of Wichita Falls, and three children, Judy Lowe and husband Joe of Munday, Howard Wells and wife Rebecca of El Paso, and Patti Sedberry and husband Jeff of Aspermont. Seven grandchildren, Cody Perry of Wichita Falls, Alison Zepeda of El Paso, Jay Sedberry and wife Coleen of Wolfforth, Marti Lowe of Fort Worth, Trevor Sedberry of Aspermont, Chelsea Wells of Austin, and Ethan Wells of El Paso, and six great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Jordyn, and Stetson Sedberry and Lucy, Sarah, and Emma Zepeda. Also, 15 nieces and nephews and their families. Other survivors include his step-children, Beverly Maggard of Wichita Falls and Dr. Joe and wife Julie Bryan of Odessa, Beverly’s children Peyton and her husband Casey Bronson of Amarillo, Ryan Whitaker of Wichita Falls, and Carson Maggard of Wichita Falls and Joe’s children Eric and Stacey Bryan, Zachary and Margarita Bryan, Caroline Bryan, Patrick Bryan, Berklee Bryan, Sam Bryan, and great-grandchildren Harley and Sullivan Bryan, and Tucker Whitaker.
