Delvin Lee Krause
December 26, 1933 - May 17, 2022

Delvin “Del” Krause of Boiling Springs, SC (formerly of Houston, Texas), died Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Boiling Springs.

Born in Houston, Texas, he was a son of the late Lee Edward and Elsie Elolf Krause. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Engineering. He served with the U.S. Army in the U.S. and Europe. He worked with Aetna Casualty Company as Engineering Superintendent & Regional Supervisor for 20 years. Beginning in 1980 he opened his own Consulting firm and remained a consulting Forensic Engineer until the end. He was a Registered Professional Engineer in several states. He was a Fellow of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, a Professional Grade Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, a Life Member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers, a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, a member of NACA, and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9539. He was active in ham radio as WD4BLD. He was active in the Methodist church, and a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Mary Constance Evensen Krause, and his second wife of 40 years, Glenda Proctor Krause.

He is survived by his son, Lee Krause, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Constance Buchanan of Rock Hill, SC; brother, Earl Edward Krause; three step sons, Michael Butner, of Bryan, TX, Steven Butner, of Wilmington, NC, and David Butner, of Tullahoma, TN; two granddaughters; two grandsons; four step granddaughters; three step grandsons; two great granddaughters; and three great grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at New Beginnings United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. J. Christopher Greene officiating. Interment will be at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.
