Larry Doyle Dierking

September 12, 1952 - June 21, 2021

Larry Doyle Dierking, age 68, died peacefully on June 21, 2021.

Visitation for Larry will be held on Friday, June 25, from 8 am-7 pm with the family present from 5 pm- 7 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, Texas. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26, at 10 am at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem with Pastor Evan Cameron officiating. Burial will be following the service in the church cemetery.

Larry was born September 12, 1952 to Willie, Jr. and Pearlie Henske Dierking in Brenham, Texas. Larry attended school at Kenney-New Wehdem Elementary School. He then went to Bellville High School and was the first class to graduate in the new auditorium. He graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor of science degree in 1975. Growing up Larry enjoyed Boy Scouts and Junior Lutherans. He was a life-long member of St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem and served on the church council including as president. Larry enjoyed working – hauling hay, welding fences, working cattle and horses. Larry could build anything; from barns to swing sets. After retirement he enjoyed spending time on his ranch in South, TX, hunting deer and hogs; spending time with his grandchildren and riding his ranger checking fences. He also enjoyed playing dominos with his friends, especially 42.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William Dierking, Jr. and Pearlie Henske Dierking. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandparents, William Dierking Sr. and Selma Mueller Dierking and Charlie and Almeta Ueckert Henske. He got his love of the outdoors from his grandfather, William Dierking, Sr..

Larry is survived by his loving wife Sally, his children, Marc Dierking (Brooke) and Laurel Washington (Marcus); his grandchildren, Paisley, Palmer and Harper Dierking; his sisters, Cheryl Buenger (Bruce) and Donna Huebner (Glenn); Uncle Clarence Dierking and several nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank his close friends, caretakers, doctors and hospice personnel who cared for Larry during his illness.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, the American Diabetes Association, Allumine Hospice of College Station or the charity of your choice.
