Robert William Grabarschick
February 25, 1951 ~ May 3, 2022

Robert William (Bob) Grabarschick was born on February 25, 1951 to Willie and Myrtle (Landua) Grabarschick. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg in Burton TX. Bob passed away on May 3, 2022 from an unexpected heart attack, at the age of 71.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Jan Scott and his numerous children and grandchildren. He was a proud father to his children with Charlotte Grabarschick: Jennifer, Robert “Bubba” & his wife Molly (Sims), Laura & her boyfriend Brian Jackson and Will & his girlfriend Allye Schroeder. He was a beloved step-father to Jan’s children Brad Lersner and Stephanie Gentry & her husband Kyle (gig ‘em). Bob was the ultimate Papa to five (5) grandchildren: Taylor & Logan Grabarschick and Charlotte, Bishop & Meredith Gentry. Bob was such a welcoming spirit; the number of people that claim him as a father figure is truly innumerable.

Bob attended Texas A&M University and he was the ultimate Texas Aggie (Class of ’73) obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design and Master’s Degree in Architecture. After graduation and throughout his life and career, he remained a loyal member of several Texas A&M University organizations. Bob built an impressive career in general contracting, construction management, and hospitality renovation. RWG Construction Management, Inc., was able to establish success simply based on word of mouth of satisfied clientele, whom he considered his friends.

Bob was extremely proud of his hometown of Brenham, Texas, and he was affectionately referred to as “Bobby” by “people from home.” He was active in the local and state communities as a provider to several charities and held membership in four (4) local Chambers of Commerce including Vice President of the Christ Lutheran Day School board and the City of Brenham Historic Preservation board. Bob was strong in his faith and active in his church community at Christ Lutheran Church.

Bob delighted in spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to watch Logan play little league baseball and attending Taylor’s piano and band concerts. He took Charlotte for long walks to see “the tiger” in the lake, patiently jigsaw puzzled with Bishop, and always made sure Meredith had a pink sprinkled donut for breakfast. He adored sharing his love of Aggie sports with anyone he could. Baseball was a passion of Bob’s, and he was one of the Houston Astros biggest fans, attending several World Series games. However, nothing could beat a soak in the hot tub under a starry Brenham sky with a good cigar, a glass of scotch….and a long story!

Bob was a true pillar of the community with an enormous presence and a laugh you could hear for miles. He was a bright light with a loving heart and a welcoming personality that made an impression on the lives of everyone he ever met. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and all those who were lucky enough to know and love him.
