Melvin Harry Lasell

July 8, 1941 ~ April 30, 2022

Mel Lasell was born on July 8th, 1941. After high school, he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon completion of service, he attended Texas A&M University, and in 1965, married Nancy. Shortly thereafter, he and Nancy became parents. Mel was a loving and devoted father to Robert and Laurie.

He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Texas A&M University, and worked there in administration until retirement. He was a proud Aggie.

Above all else, he was a proud Pops to his six grandchildren: Taylor Rowland, Madison, Riley, Reagan, Ryan, and Emma Lasell, and his great grandson, Kai. He could not have been a better role model of unconditional love for his family. He made his love and devotion well-known. His words and his actions proved every day his overwhelming love. Our lives have been richer because of our time with him.
