Sam Nelson Pegg

August 30, 1952 - May 9, 2022

Sam Nelson Pegg, 69, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away May 9th, 2022 in his home due to chronic illness.

Sam was born in 1952 to the late William and Peggy Pegg, and was raised alongside his late brother Norman Pegg and surviving sister Nancy Migl.

In his teen years, Sam was a television repair helper to T.I. Long Jr's TV Service. Later, worked as a ranch hand for his grandfather W.F. Pegg in Kingsbury after graduating Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in 1975. Finally settling into a career as computer operator in San Antonio for FISERV, and later SWBC where he retired.

Sam was a loving husband to his late wife Diane Pegg, and caring father to surviving son Jason Pegg.

Throughout his life, Sam's favorite time was spent outside hunting, fishing, and playing baseball.  Not only for the thrill and competition, but also the camaraderie found in the dugout, fishing boat, and campsite. Sam was a loyal, honest, hardworking man; grateful for the family and friends who truly knew him.
