Lon Allen Penton
November 16, 1937 - February 25, 2022

LON ALLEN PENTON age 84, of Henderson Nevada and a longtime resident of King County Washington, died peacefully on February 25, 2022, with loved one's present. He was one of 11 children born to Edd Penton and Gladys Lenore (Kelley) Penton. Lon was born in Gainesville, Texas November 16, 1937. Lon married Martha A. White in July 1968.

Lon was a Texas Aggie and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for a short time at the Boeing Co. in Seattle before going to work at King County Public Works in Seattle, WA where he worked until his retirement in 2002. Lon lost his lifetime love (Martha) in 2020. Lon was a devoted husband, brother and Uncle to hundreds of Nieces and Nephews.

Lon had a love of Engineering, Photography, Travel, and Nevada games of chance. Lon traveled the world with Martha at his side until due to health, they were no longer able to travel. The thing that Lon loved most was just spending time with his friends and family.

Lon is now residing in heaven with his wife Martha, his parents and deceased brothers Vance Penton, Joe Burl Penton, William Penton, stillborn Brother, and sisters Joyce Hansen, Ruth Pitman, Ernestine Bale, Tunzel Crumpler, Eddie Peters, and Norma Jane Penton. Lon has one surviving sister, Patsy Johnson.

Lon's remaining family will remember, with much love, his generosity, loving nature, especially his bear hugs. A service of remembrance will be held later this year in Rosston, TX where his ashes will be laid to rest with his loving parents.
