Larry Dwayne Pierce
October 13, 1945 - March 22, 2022

Larry “Mister” Pierce, 76, died peacefully at Medical City Alliance on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Larry was born October 13, 1945, in Waco, TX. He was a resident of Fort Worth TX for 21 years. Larry attended school in Lorena TX graduating from high school there in 1964. He went on to obtain his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University in College Station in 1968. He was a proud Aggie. Gig’em! 

Larry served 4 years in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He held numerous other occupations which ranged from insurance to retail sales. He then worked with TWC, retiring May 2004 after 16 years of service for the state of Texas. After retiring from TWC, Larry continued to work part time for another 17 years before completely retiring May 2021. He spent his last year doing what he loved, visiting family, going to Hagan’s baseball games, FFA activities, and watching rodeos on TV. Larry was a very hardworking and diligent individual. He had an exemplary work ethic. He was an active member at his church including the food bank. He also was generous with numerous donations.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Homer Dwight Pierce and Hazel Maynard Pierce; and stepson, Esteban Rubio Jr.

Survivors - Wife, Lenora Vera Pierce of Fort Worth TX; son and wife, Shawn and Lisa Pierce of West TX; stepson and wife, Jorge and Megan Rubio of Sherman TX; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Encizo of Lockney, Tx; two step-daughters, Sarah Rubio and fiancé Ben Schneider of Fort Worth, Steffani Vera of Denton TX; five grandchildren, Hallie Green and husband Dillon, Hagan Pierce, Angela Encizo, Max and Ty Rubio; one great-grandson, Tate Green; and numerous sister and brother in laws, nieces and nephews.
