Freddie Herman Deutrich
August 19, 1941 - April 13, 2022

Freddie H Deutrich, of Bellville, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the age of 80.

He was born in Bellville, Tx on August 19, 1941, to parents Raymond Herman Deutrich and Lillie Dell Zander. Growing up in Cochran, Tx, Fred and his family later moved to Bellville. While attending Bellville High, he excelled in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track as well as representing his class in an officer position each year. Upon graduating from Bellville High School in 1959, Fred earned his Bachlors of Science degree from Texas A&M University, class of ´64, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets.

After graduation, he accepted a job teaching and coaching at Spring Woods Jr. High then was transferred to Spring Woods High School. Fred finally moved to Memorial High School to coach football and baseball in 1967. After 10 years of teaching and coaching, he soon returned to Bellville in 1974 where he owned his own business, Plumbing Repair.

Fred and Susan Charnquist were married in May of 1993. He enjoyed raising cattle, taking care of his many animals at the farm, spending time with his grandchildren and Susans cooking.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Lillie Dell (Zander) Deutrich, son Kyle Deutrich and brother Raymond ¨Brother¨ Deutrich.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Deutrich and daughter, Kelly (Deutrich) Hancock and husband Tony; stepsons, Jeff Charnquist and Steven Charnquist; stepdaughter: Christine (Charnquist) Jouett and husband James; sister: Phyllis (Deutrich) Johnson and husband Billy; grandchildren: Lillie Hancock, Ainsley Hancock, Johnny Ellis and wife Bethany (Braun), Samuel Ellis and wife Kari (McDonald), Trevor and Taylor Charnquist, Elise Tipps, Sayer, Finn, and Einen Charnquist; great-grandchildren: Parker Ellis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church scholarship fund in Bellville and to the Parkinsons Foundation.
