Michael Edward Fenton
July 22, 1943 – March 5, 2022

Michael Edward Fenton was born on July 22, 1943, in the Crescent City of New Orleans, Louisiana. Mike passed away, with his wife by his side, on March 5, 2022, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

As Mike’s father worked for the government during World War II, the family was in New Orleans for a few short years, and then moved to Texas, to California, then Washington State, finally settling in Dallas, Texas when Mike was 14. He attended Highland Park High School, where he was in the marching band and orchestra. He then went to Texas A&M, studying mechanical engineering and was so proud to be in the Corp of Cadets and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, under the direction of Colonel Adams.

Mike worked for General Electric in the Component Sales Department when beginning his career. He then spent 26 years with EIS Corporation as Supervisor of Sales (Industrial Parts) for the Southwest Territory. He was recognized with awards for his outstanding sales and customer service and he particularly enjoyed working with Utilities Mining and Generating Companies.

Perhaps some of his favorite memories were from numerous visits to the Wilson-Moseley Beach house in Johnson Bayou, LA. Mike was a lover of sailing, the ocean, music (particularly jazz), and technology. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan, and most importantly, Texas A&M football, as well all Aggie sports teams. He was an “All Things Aggie” supporter through and through.

Michael is survived by Gail, his wife of 49 years; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janice and Jim Moseley of Bryan; nephew Mark Moseley of Houston; nieces Stephanie Meyer and Shelly Clark, both of Sherwood, Arkansas; three great nieces, Morgan Moseley, Reagan Moseley, Brenna Clark: one great nephew, Preston Clark; numerous cousins and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Wesley Fenton; mother, Martha Woodruff Fenton; and sister, Molly Fenton Brooks.

The memorial service will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on South College Avenue in Bryan at 11 am on Friday, March 11th, 2022. Jim Heiligman, pastor at First Baptist Church, Bryan, will officiate.
