Douglas Ray Bryan, 63, of Salmon passed away Wednesday April 21st, 2021 at the Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Doug was one of four children born to Harvard Jasper Bryan and Mary Julia (Kuchak) Bryan. He was born on June 29th, 1957 in Dallas Texas. Doug graduated in the class of 1975 from Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Arkansas. He then went on to achieve a Bachelors Degree of Range Science and a Master Degree of Industrial Technology from Texas A&M.

Doug married his wife Regina Gay McGee on February 23rd, 2012 at the Magnolia Cowboy Church in Magnolia, Texas. He had a long career as a Manufacturing Engineer, and eventually retired.

Doug was an amazing Husband, Dad, Paw-Paw, and Friend to all. He was a member of the Salmon Valley Baptist Church and played the Guitar and Mandolin on the worship team.

Doug served the Lord by serving others. He loved to BBQ on his big pit with mesquite wood that he would bring back from Texas. His catch phrases always took people by surprise (ex. “I’ve still got a pulse”, “I’m fat and funny looking but I’m dealing with it”). He will be missed greatly.

Doug was preceded in death by his first wife Diana (Bensmiller) Bryan, the mother of his three children who were six, four, and two at the time of her passing. He is also preceded in death by his Mother Mary Julia Kuchak, and his Father Harvard Jasper Bryan.

He is survived by his best friend and second wife Regina (McGee) Bryan, his son Matthew R. Bryan of Brenham, TX., two daughters Hannah I. Bryan '13 (Capt. John) Maksimik, of South Korea, Sarah E. (Gus) Peterson of Karnes City, TX. his three Step-Children Devin D. Waechter (Isom) Moore of Eden, TX., Tracy L. Waechter of San Angelo, TX., and Stacy L. Waechter (Michael) Lopez of Eden, TX.

Doug is also survived by his sister and two brothers Mary Lou (Dr. Cary) Heard of Little Rock, AR., Harvard (Donna) Bryan of Tyler, TX., Wayne '77 (Monique) of Magnolia, AR., and four grandchildren Jack, Mabel, Elodie, Abby and five step grandchildren Tony, Jocelynn, Morgan, Trey and Adian.
