Michael "Tanner" Wright
September 4, 1965 - December 14, 2021

Tanner Wright, 56, from Plano, was born on September 4, 1965 and passed away from a recently diagnosed and aggressive cancer on December 14, 2021. He moved from Beaumont to Plano in 1977 and graduated from Plano Senior High in 1984, graduated from Richland College in 1987, and then attended Texas A&M where he received an Engineering Technology Degree in Industrial Distribution in 1990. He was employed in the fluid power industry by several companies, most recently with Purvis Industries. Tanner was also a Freemason for 34 years. He enjoyed going to motorcycle races. He had a great personality and enjoyed being with his friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his son.

Tanner leaves behind his son, Morgan Thurman Wright, and his son's mother Jodi Crawford Wright.

He is also survived by his mother, Cole Evans Wright, and uncle, Bill Evans, of Richardson, along with his older brother, Robert Edman Vaughan, Jr. '93 and wife, Mary Louise Cooper Vaughan, of Wylie, and their daughters, Jenna Mae Vaughan '08 (Harold Wilson) of College Station, and Amber Nicole Vaughan (Justin Cross) of Plano.

He is also survived by his younger brother, Colin Harrison Wright, of Galveston. There are also many other relatives and friends. Thank you to his friends who visited and called and a special thanks to Mike Wise and Kayla Holder who provided much needed help. Tanner, we will miss you, but we are so glad you are finally at peace.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Morgan Wright, Robert Vaughan, Colin Wright, Mike Wise, Jeff Manning, and Jim Allen. Honorary pallbearers are all his friends and his Uncle Bill Evans.
