Jennifer Parsons LaPorte of Hondo went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at the age of 46.

Born in Hondo, in Feb. 1975, she is the daughter of Clyde and Denise Parsons. In July 1996, she married her soul mate, Robbie LaPorte, and they were blessed with three amazing children who were Jennifer’s pride and joy.

Jennifer graduated from Hondo High School in 1993 and received her teaching degree from Texas A&M University in 1996. She loved teaching the youth about Jesus in a fun and memorable way and took the group on several mission trips. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel “Possie” and Ginella Parsons and Oleta and Henry Davis.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Robbie LaPorte '95; daughter, Rachel Aken '21 (Joshua); son, Colby LaPorte '23; and daughter, Avery LaPorte, all of Hondo; sisters, Rhonda Henson '01(Chad) of Fayetteville, AR and Rebecca Shipp '06 (Jordan) of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
