Gary Dwane Hale
March 5, 1964 – May 19, 2021

A devoted son, brother, husband, father, and friend, Gary Hale, 57 of Houston, TX, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2021.

An avid fisherman and golfer, Gary enjoyed spending time with friends and family. His effervescent demeanor drew people in and he became a natural mentor to many, young and old, alike. Whether teaching someone the love of fishing, golf or carpentry, watching a play or sporting event, Gary cheered on each and every participant as if they were his own. He graduated from Klein High School, received a Bachelor of Science from Texas A & M University where he was a member of the honor society Phi Kappa Phi, and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church.

Gary truly lived life to the fullest and was loving, kind, generous, supportive, enthusiastic, charming, gregarious, welcoming, and appreciative. As a dear friend said of Gary, “I have never known a man whose love for his wife, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, close friends and their children, was so overwhelmingly expressed in the sparkle of his eyes or the brightness in his smile, as he genuinely interacted with all of them and seized the moment and embraced the now during gatherings!”

Gary is survived and cherished by his wife, Misty; daughter, Hannah; parents; Clyde and JoAnn “Jupey”; brother, Greg (Lavonne); nephews, Tanner, Cooper (Lily), and Walker; mother-in-law, Jo Nan; sister-in-law, Val (Mike); nieces, Emily (Caleb) and Courtney; aunts, uncles, cousins, along with a host of friends and colleagues. Honorary Pallbearers include: Tanner Hale, Cooper Hale, Walker Hale, Caleb Thomas, Trent Segers, Steele Parks, Marshall Ingram, Rex Hargrove, Chase More, Mills More, Joe Nalieth, Estus Stephens, Braedan Johnson, Paul Prim, Park Kuykendall, and Cayson Little.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gary’s name may be made to the Camp Gary Fund
