Roll Call Tribute

On Friday July 30, 2021 in the early morning hours, the loving wife and mother, Sharon Ann Ludwig-Lindholm passed away at the age of 69.

Sharon was born in Houston, Texas on May 11, 1952 to Charles and Dorothy Ludwig. She married the love of her life on June 16, 1973. She then went on to raise her two children, work and go to school. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Texas A&M University in 1996. She then became a paralegal.

Sharon had a passion for making everything beautiful around her. She loved to teach people how to do things from scrapbooking to plumbing for a house. She was a do-it-yourself kind of person. There was nothing that she wouldn’t learn or couldn’t teach. She had a passion for taking in stray animals and loving them as her own.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father Charles and her mother Dorothy. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James R. Lindholm II '88, her son James R. Lindholm III and his wife Katy Lindholm, her daughter Patricia C. Smith and Justin Smith, and her grandchildren Gavyn Moore, Brayden Smith, Skye Smith, Ashlynn Smith, and her great-granddaughter Ava Moore. She is also survived by her brother David Ludwig.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday August 4, 2021 at Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road Longview, TX 75606 and the Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday August 6, 2021 at the Bryan City Cemetery 1111 N Texas Avenue, Bryan, TX 77803.
