Francisco Javier Aguirre Jr.
February 5, 1953 - November 15, 2021

Francisco Javier Aguirre, Jr., passed away in the early morning on November 15th, 2021, surrounded by his family at home.

Born on February 5th, 1953 in Edinburgh, TX, he attended PSJA high school in San Juan, TX, he attended college at Texas A&M University, graduating in 1977 with a BS in Chemical Engineering.

He went on to a successful career as a chemical engineer for over thirty years, providing for his family, before realizing his true dream of becoming a long-haul trucker at the age of 55. He spent eleven years criss-crossing the country, taking in the scenery, meeting new people, and spending time with friends and family across the country as his work took him through their towns.

A friend to everyone, he was ever eager to put his vast handyman skills to use helping friends, family, and neighbors. His booming voice, hearty laugh, and calm, reassuring presence at the kitchen table solving crossword puzzles will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Melinda; his children, Cristina (Michael), Carlos (Maria), and Nicolas; his grandchildren, Haley, Emilia, Aubrey, Eloisa, and Easton; his sisters, Mary, Carmen, and Ninfa; numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco, Sr and Elida Aguirre; his brothers, Guadalupe, Valentin, Anastacio, and Teodoro.

Per his wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service.

Instead, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
