Charles was the only child born to Samuel Fletcher Gard and Tressie Mae Major in Fort Worth, Texas on April 12, 1933.  Charles married the love of his life Eula Ruth Arthur on September 4, 1954.  Charles peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2021 in Plano, Texas at the age of 88.
