Ronald “Ronnie” Bevington Davis
November 7, 1937 - November 24, 2021

Ronald “Ronnie” Bevington Davis, 84 of Goldthwaite passed away on November 24, 2021. Ronnie was born in the Rock Springs Community on November 7, 1937 to Joe Alley and Edna Alice Davis. He married Olga Carmen Flores on November 12, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in San Perlita, Tx.

Ronnie lived in Goldthwaite most of his life. He graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1956. Ronnie attended Tarleton State University, Texas Tech University, and graduated with a degree in Entomology from Texas A&M University. Ronnie worked for over 30 years for the Texas State Animal Health Commission, where he traveled extensively throughout the state of Texas as an MCI Coordinator- Inspector.

He loved his country and served time in the United States Armed Forces – Army. Ronnie also loved his sports, especially the Goldthwaite Eagles and his Texas A&M Aggies. You could always find some kind of game on the tv or radio and lots of loud cheering in the house.

Ronnie was a gentle, kind and caring Christian man who loved God, his wife, kids, grandkids, great grandkids, as well as all of his family. Ronnie was a friend and companion to many.

Surviving is the love of his life, his wife Olga to whom he was devoted to and married to for 61 years. They have two daughters, Edna Kennedy and her husband David of Dime Box, Tx., Lorraine Sanders of Georgetown, Tx., grandchildren Klynt Mauldin, Abbey Demere, and Matalin Sanders, great-grandchildren Leighton Demere and Cainen Demere.

Ronnie is also survived by his sister Alice Ann and Ross Johnson, his brother John David Davis, his sister-in-law Bobbie Davis, and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe Alley and Edna Alice Davis and his brothers, Randall Gene Davis, Bobby Joe Davis, and Charles Franklin Davis who are ready to welcome him to his heavenly home.
