Christian "Fred" Frederick Hoffman, Jr. 
May 09, 1935 - June 25, 2021

Fred grew up near Edna, Texas and was a student at Texas A&M University. He was a member of the American Foundrymen Society as the Vice President as a senior, he was also a member of the Industrial Education Club as their Vice President in his senior year. He was also a member of the Corps of Cadets, a resident of Hart Hall, and a member of Iota Lambda Sigma. 

He worked in the fire service for the last 20 years of employment. His last work was selling fire trucks for Deep South Fire Trucks based in Mississippi. He was a member of the State Firefighters' & Fire Marshals' Association of Texas. He also worked with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service's Fire School and it's instructors when he would organize fire schools. He truly loved working in the fire service to which he was dedicated to for many years. 

 

Fred was loved by so many including his family. He is survived by three children. A daughter Karen McWhorter, husband Ashton, their children Angela and Christina and their spouses and great grand children. A second daughter and Aggie Graduate ‘83 Wanda Patterson, husband Ron, their children Kurt and Kyle and their spouses and great grand children, and a son Kenneth Hoffman, his wife Cassie, their children, an Aggie Graduate ‘21 Rebecca, Kathryn, and Dalton.

 

He is survived by his sister, Marylin Eggar and husband Larry and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

 

He is also survived by his husband Charles White. Fred and Charles shared a loving relationship for 24 years, and were married April 21, 2014 on Aggie Muster.
