Frederick (Fred) Paschal Dwight
September 12, 1942 - November 9, 2021 (age 79)

Fred was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 12, 1942. Fred was the son of U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Paschal Fred DiBianco and Jean Votta DiBianco. Paschal and Jean were a hardworking couple who raised three children, Fred, Jeannie, and Larry. Fred attended Burgess High School in El Paso, Texas graduating in 1960.

Fred attended Texas A&M University in 1960 and majored in Petroleum Engineering. Fred was a member of the Corps of Cadets in Company C-2 and resided in Puryear Hall, was a lifelong Aggie supporter, and loved his Alumni. During his time at Texas A&M Fred met the love of his life Jenoise (Jen) Marie Fugler in 1963. Fred asked Jen to marry him in 1964 the year Fred Graduated from Texas A&M.

Fred entered the U.S. Army as a Quartermaster Second Lieutenant in March of 1966. Fred would complete his training at Fort Lee Virginia in July of 1966 and deployed to The Republic of Vietnam in November of 1966. There Fred would serve in the 1st Logistical Command, 94th Supply and Service Battalion as a Petroleum Officer in Saigon. Fred was very proud of the work he and his Soldiers accomplished in Vietnam which, included inventing a machine to assist with fortifications and earthworks, fuel depot construction, fuel depot tank construction from foundation to completion, and secured petroleum supply areas in unsecured areas of the Mekong Delta under pressure of direct enemy combat. Fred was well known for his organization and staff work which, reached the highest levels of Fred’s command. Fred returned from Vietnam in November of 1967 and left the service of the U.S. Army in March of 1968.

Fred would then start his lifelong journey of perfecting his passion of Petroleum Engineering. Fred started his work in Petroleum Engineering in 1968 for Conoco Oil and progressively advanced through a myriad of oil and energy companies eventually starting his own company Producers Engineering Company in 1980. Fred worked in the oil and gas business for a total of 57 years. Fred was known as a tireless worker, kept his nose to the grindstone, and never quit on any project or mission. Fred was truly an inspiration to many people and organizations across the country. He was a beloved father and grandfather, never wavering on the support of his children and grandchildren who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his Grandchildren Anthony Dwight and Rei James Burchfield. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jen Dwight, his four wonderful children Rachael, Rick, Julie, Elizabeth, and his seven grandchildren Payton, Christopher, Rico, Danae, Dahlia, Chloe, and Frank

Visitation will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Funeral Services will be at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 307 Beach Dr, Destin, FL 32541 on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 11 am. Fred will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10 am.
