Willard Bryan Johnson
October 5, 1945 - October 21, 2021

Willard “Bryan” Johnson, 76, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorrie and Audrey Johnson; wife, Jana Johnson; brother, Lyndon Johnson; son, Joel Johnson '94 and daughter-in-law, Gena Peltier Johnson '95. 

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Willard Johnson, Jr. '96, Rachel Johnson Alexander and husband, Anthony, Jessica Johnson Nachtegaele '05 and husband Lee '06, Matthew Fuller, Joshua Pope, and Morgan Pope; grandchildren, Emma Jane Davis, Colby Alexander, Buck Alexander, Phoenix Nachtegaele, Theron Nachtegaele, Sarah Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Collin Pope, and Evan Pope; great grandchildren, Valentine, Lucien, Bodhi, Carson, and a host of other family and dear friends. 

Bryan was born on October 5, 1945, in Freeport, Texas. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1964 and went on to attend Texas A&M, class of 1971. Bryan bled maroon and was an Aggie through and through. He participated in Aggie Muster for fallen Aggies. Bryan was married to the love of his life, Jana, for 38 years, and they enjoyed cooking, sailing, and teaching Sunday school together. They had a collaborative and caring relationship based on mutual support and a deep love for one another. Bryan loved listening to Elvis, especially his gospel music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
