Stanley Paul Holz
November 29, 1935 - July 31, 2021

Stanley Holz, age 85 of Waller, Texas, passed away on July 31, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lillie Holz, and granddaughter Jennifer Nichole Hoffart.

Mr. Holz is survived by his wife Mayme Holz; children Stephen Holz '78 and wife Peggy '77, Terry Hoffart and husband Ralph; grandchildren Meredith '03 and Jeremy Silvas, Russell '07 and Katie '08 Holz, Jordan Hoffart '19 and Chance Hoffart; great grandchildren Ava Lillie Silvas, Ali Jo Silvas, Evelyn Kate Holz, Vivienne Louise Holz, and McCullough Jane Holz.

Stanley was born in La Grange, TX. His family moved to Waller where he attended school, graduated, and moved to College Station, TX. He received a degree in Agriculture from Texas A&M in 1956, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. After college, he served as Company Commander in the Brenham National Guard. He helped run the family business, Waller Hatchery & Feed, from the age of 5 to the age of 44. Stanley and Mayme bought land and farmed for over 20 years in Waller, TX. He began working for Waller ISD as Business Manager and Tax Collector and Assessor in 1979 and worked for the school district until he retired in 2002. He was well respected within the school district and community. In his free time, he loved to hunt. Every winter he looked forward to trips to the deer lease with his Waller buddies.

Stanley was a beloved husband, father, and Papa. He was married to his wife Mayme for 65 years and she was the love of his life. He would do anything for her, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. He was loved and respected beyond measure, and we are incredibly thankful for the great love and care he gave to us all.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Canon Funeral Home with Eddie Noack officiating. Interment will follow at Waller Cemetery.
