John Henry Frank
November 18, 1940 - September 27, 2021

John Henry Frank was born on November 18, 1940 in Herman Hospital in Houston to John George Alfred Frank, Jr. and Ellen Elizabeth Bastian Frank. He was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and a member of the Texas Aggie Band. He passed away on September 27, 2021 at the age of 80.

John attended Condit Elementary, Pershing Junior High and Bellaire High School before going to Texas A&M. At Texas A&M, John was a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Band and was a member of the Corps of Cadets for all four years there. After graduation, John served in the U.S. Army at the HQ USAREUR in Heidelberg, Germany. John worked as an accountant and CPA for Trunkline Gas Company, Sohio Petroleum Company, British Petroleum Company, and Andersen Consulting and Accenture before retiring to his home in Katy, Texas in 2005.

John had many interests over his lifetime, including sports cars (Alfa Romeo ’67 GTV), motorcycles (dirt/trail bikes, motocross, and enduros), photography, travel, and of course, as a passionate model railroader and was a member of the National Model Railroad Association, the San Jacinto Model Railroad Club, the Houston Area “G” Gaugers, the Houston Area Live Steamers, and the Rosenberg Railroad Museum. John had an extensive garden railroad in his back yard as his home in Katy. John also belonged to and participated in the Class of ’63 Aggie Band reunions and the Texas A&M Class of ’63 reunions.

He is survived by his brother, George Edward Frank and his wife Marilyn Terrance Frank; their two children, Russel and Amy '98; and their grandchildren, Luke, Graham, and Drew. He was preceded in death by his parents, JG and Elizabeth Frank.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, in Houston. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
