Peter Rainer Manhard
July 27, 1965 - September 28, 2021

Peter Rainer Manhard, a loving husband, father, son and brother, died at the age of 56 in Plano, TX on September 28, 2021.

Peter was born on July 27, 1965 in Houston, TX to Horst & Ellen Manhard. He attended St. Mark Lutheran Church. Upon graduating from Spring Branch High School, Peter was the first in his family to graduate from college receiving his engineering degree from Texas A&M University. He worked at Texas Instruments in Stafford, TX and later in Plano, TX.

Peter was a proud Aggie (class of ’87) and an American born German who proudly displayed his pride for both. He was passionate about many things, but few topped his love for Lake Conroe where he spent countless weekends boating, water skiing and fishing. He played tennis majority of his life where he cultivated great friendships on the court. His annual snow skiing trips brought him much joy as he often skied with his dad, sister or friends.

Peter was an avid gardener who nurtured his love for the outdoors and relished in his harvest. He loved playing practical jokes on the younger ones within his family and composed short stories detailing the antics of his life (both which we’ll now cherish more than ever).

Our beloved Peter is survived by his wife, Hilary Manhard, his children Parker and Ava Manhard, his parents, Ellen Manhard and Horst & Josy Manhard, his brother and sister-in-law, Stefen & Cheryl Manhard, his sister and brother-in-law, Karen '87 & Chris White, his brother-in-law Matthew Aven and his nephews, Allen Manhard, Ethan White and Ryan White along with many family and friends.

A memorial service for Peter will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Houston Racquet Club with a reception immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to Chris Carter Charity for Life (https://carsonsvillage.org/family/peter-manhard)
