Arthur Richard Peacock
January 14, 1937 - March 4, 2021
Arthur Richard Peacock went home to be with his Lord at 9 p.m. March 4, 2021.
He was born in Marlin, Texas on Jan. 14, 1937.
He graduated from Texas A & M with the class of 1959. After graduating he joined the Air Force Reserve.
His career began in Houston, Texas working for Commercial Credit Union, followed by Carrier Air Conditioning transferring to Syracuse, New York for three years, returning to Atlanta joining Clay & Associates.
He formed Peacock Sales in 1978 and retired 40 years later.
The Lord called him to start a nursing home ministry shortly after. That was his passion! Sharing God's love and teaching His word.
He was a member of North Lanier Baptist Church for many years and served as deacon.
He leaves behind many precious friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita and father, Frank Peacock, II. of Marlin, Texas; grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. AC Ferguson of Commerce, Texas and Frank Peacock, Sr. of Marlin, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda; four sons: Art and wife Sheri, Clay, Jason, all of Cumming and David of Chattanooga, Tenn; five grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Gracie of Cumming, Gabriel and Faith of Tampa, Fla.; four step-grandchildren: Carley,
Camille, Carson and Byrd, all of Cumming; brother, Frank Peacock, III of Longview, Texas; one niece: Amy Tillman; and one nephew, Wendall Peacock of Dallas.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. March 9 at McDonald and Son funeral home, followed by a graveside service at Sawnee View.
