Vinson Drennan Hartley, Jr., 90, of Hemphill, Texas passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at his residence.

Vinson was born on March 14, 1931 in Humble, Texas to Vinson Drennan Hartley, Sr. and Josephine Matilda Davis. He proudly served in The United States Coast Guard during the Korean War, and was a graduate of Texas A&M where he majored in Architectural Design.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anita May Carpenter Hartley of Hemphill, Texas; children, Michael Vinson Hartley, Kathryn Elaine LaBrosse, Kelly Lynn Galligos; granddaughters, Becky Wood, Dominique Rogers, Abby Gallegos, and Isabelle Gallegos; grandson, Derrek LaBrosse; two great-grandsons, and five great-granddaughters; and one great-great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
